Program Description
Ogimaawiwin Leadership & Management Program goals are to strengthen different areas of leadership whether that be economic, political, or educational. The initiative is centered around native nations to have the needed skills to strengthen and rebuild nations that will have the necessary leadership and management skills. Key knowledge is dedicated to effective local self governance, economic development, social and cultural leadership, and education and development. The program emphasizes the unique role of tribal government presents in business and leadership environment. We advance the profession of leadership skills through professional , ethical, and legal standards of conduct in tribal governments and organizations.
Mission
Ogimaawiwin Leadership & Management Program aspires to be a leadership program that develops its students to become leaders that will have the necessary leadership and management skills and knowledge to use on campuses, businesses, organizations, tribal governments, and beyond. The program emphasizes the unique role tribes and tribal governments have in a business and leadership environment. We advance the profession of leadership skills through professional, ethical, and legal standards of conduct in tribal governments and organizations.
Career Outlook
- Students will explain best management and leadership practices that they can use in businesses, organizations, and tribal governments.
- Students will evaluate the unique role that tribes and tribal governments have in the global business environment.
- Students will construct an understanding of tribal knowledge and tribal government practices and apply that knowledge in an organizational environment.

Credit Hours
Applicants are required to have an Associates of Arts degree, Associates of Science degree or 60 or more college credits which include specific prerequisite course, ie. College Composition I & II, College Algebra, and Tribal Government (to be reviewed by program faculty).

Admissions Requirements
Applicants are required to have an Associates of Arts degree, Associates of Science degree or 60 or more college credits which include specific prerequisite course, i.e.. College Composition I & II, College Algebra, and Tribal Government (to be reviewed by program faculty).
Requirements
Admission Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, network administration, or a closely related field is required. Applicants holding degrees in other disciplines may be considered on a case-by-case basis if they can demonstrate relevant professional experience or commit to completing the required prerequisite courses within their first year in the program.
- Applicants must have earned a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicants must submit a personal statement outlining their academic and professional background, reasons for pursuing the Master of Applied Science in Cyber Law and Policy, and their long-term career goals.
- Three letters of recommendations are required, preferably from academic or professional references who can speak to the applicant's intellectual ability, work ethic, and potential for success in a graduate program. At least one recommendation should ideally be from someone familiar with the applicant's abilities in law or technology-related fields.
- Applications with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Cyber Defense from Turtle Mountain College will be given admission priority into the program pending students meet admission requirements.
