AHU 130 Quillwork
This course is designed to teach students the basic techniques of quillwork. Students will evaluate the process of collecting and preparing quills for quillwork. Quillwork designs, both traditional and contemporary, will be incorporated in this class along with mixed media techniques. The cultural significance of quillwork within traditional Ojibwe society will be evaluated. Ojibwe language and words will be used throughout this course.
