LANG 340 Ojibwe Grammar Patterns and Sentence Structure II
This course will continue to focus on learning the Ojibwe language through understanding Ojibwe grammar patterns and sentence structure. Attention will be given to the different verb forms; verbs that are transitive and animate (VTA), verbs that are animate and intransitive (VAI), verbs that are inanimate and intransitive (VTI), and verbs that are inanimate and intransitive (VII). Conjugations of these verbs will be evaluated in general terms. Grammar patterns will be understood through question and answer format where verb conjugation can be explored along with sentence structure. Areas such as subject-verb agreement, B-form introducers, positive and negated A and B forms of all verbs, and C-form will be evaluated.
