Federal Pell Grant:
A Federal Pell Grant is an award to help “undergraduates” pay for their education after high school. For the Federal Pell Grant Program, an undergraduate is one who has not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree. (A professional degree would include a field such as pharmacy or a dentist.) The Federal Pell Grant is a federal grant that is the foundation for all other student Financial Aid. It is applied towards all mandatory school costs such as tuition and fees. It is awarded on a need basis. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered. FAFSA can be completed at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Each student is required to apply for the FAFSA as specified in TMCC policy.
