AM 101 3D Modeling for Advanced Manufactur

Students will be introduced to 3D modeling using 3D modeling software used within the advanced manufacturing industry. Students will learn how to create 3D models and create 2D engineering drawings with appropriate orthographic views; sectional views and auxiliary views. Projects will challenge students to follow the steps of producing a product from need identification through production (art to part) using 3D printing. The course will include a survey of the major advanced manufacturing methodologies; technical skills requirements; and various career opportunities in the 21st century manufacturing sector.
