HEO 130 Construction Survey & Design
In this course students will be learning about various practices and technologies used in the heavy equipment industry. Some of the topics covered will be construction staking, blueprint reading, GPS machine control, and photogrammetry. Students will become familiar with the use of GPS rovers, surveying lasers, transits, hand levels, aerial photogrammetry for measuring stockpiles and surveying job sites. They also will become familiar with the use of multiple in cab GPS systems used in today’s Heavy equipment.
