PHIL 410 Native American Philosophy: Traditions

In this course, students will examine various Native American traditional and contemporary philosophical perspectives. Gaining this knowledge, students will then discuss, and explain the philosophical and spiritual viewpoints from different Native American tribes. How tribal perspectives have changed through time will be reviewed. Native American perspectives on current social, political, and environmental issues will also be evaluated. Philosophies from different from different tribes throughout North America will be explored and compared and contrasted with Ojibwe philosophy and worldview.
