PSYC 107 Building Resilience in Children, Youth, and Families
This course explores resilience in the face of adversity, trauma, or tragedy. Emphasis will be on understanding trauma and resilience, exploring evidence-based strategies and skills, exploring trauma informed approaches. This course will also focus on resiliency in Native American communities in response to trauma and culture as a protective factor. Students will learn how to work with children and families in building skills that build confidence and competence.
