Program Description

The Corrections Training program prepares students for careers in correctional facilities, detention centers, and related public safety environments. Students will learn the fundamentals of inmate supervision, security procedures, legal and ethical responsibilities, crisis management, and effective communication. The program emphasizes hands-on training in safety protocols, conflict resolution, and emergency response. Graduates will be prepared to meet state and federal certification requirements and to pursue entry-level positions in correctional and detention settings.

Graduates of the Corrections Training program are prepared for entry-level positions in correctional and detention facilities, including state and federal prisons, county jails, and juvenile detention centers. Career opportunities include Correctional Officer, Detention Officer, and other roles in public safety and security.
